Carey Glass Purchases Glaston’s 2,500th Easy-Lifter

Ireland-based Carey Glass recently purchased an Easy-Lifter handling device from Glaston. This is a milestone for Glaston, which has now sold 2,500 units of this line.

“As we have total in-house control of the quality and delivery requirements for each customer’s project, we have to invest in reliable equipment and machines that meet our needs,” says Evelyn Carey of Carey Glass. “Handling such high volumes of glass means that we must keep production methods as simple as possible where necessary without losing any of the guarantees. As we process all glass types in-house, with a highly qualified and experienced team, the Easy-Lifter greatly simplifies handling for them.”

With a 1,000,000 square foot production facility that includes 12 insulating glass lines and 12 tempering ovens, Carey Glass has been part of the glass industry for over 55 years. The company processes 14,000 square feet of glass every day, according to the announcement. Handling glass safely and accurately is essential, and the new system is designed to require minimum operator intervention, with adjustable lifting speed and all vacuum creation handled by the security of Venturi nozzles.
