GPD Returns to Finland in June

Glass Performance Days (GPD) will take place June 26-28, 2019 at the Tampere Exhibition and Sports Centre in Tampere, Finland. The GPD staff has registered approximately 230 abstracts for expert presentations and workshops, which it says is a record number.

GPD workshops will be held on June 25 and 26. Attendees must register for each workshop individually. One special workshop being offered, called” High Rise – Nordic Exposure,” will cover highrise construction in the Nordic region, with a focus on thermal retention. It will be held June 25 at the Aalto University in Helsinki. Peter Smithson with BG&E Facades and architect Kimmo Lintula will lead the workshop.

GPD’s seminars and workshops will cover future trends, research and development, new product innovations and applications such as smart glass and thin glass.

An exhibition area featuring dozens of glass industry companies will also be located close to the conference session areas. It offers networking opportunities for attendees and exhibitors during and between sessions.

Those who register by April 30, 2019 will receive a $113.69 (EUR 100) discount. Registration is open until the conference begins and includes admission to all sessions scheduled on June 27-28, conference materials, lunches and drinks, admission to the expo, get together and farewell evening parties with food, drinks, and transportation to and from the conference venue and evening events.
