Azon offers its Azo-Core high-density foam thermal barrier for aluminum framing. According to the company, this was first introduced in the United Kingdom with energy performance meeting the standard for Passive House (Passivhaus) in Europe. Thermal results of 0.25 U-Value with double low-E insulating glass and 0.14 with high performance triple glazing are achieved through actual testing. In addition to high thermal performance, Azo-Core maintains the structural aspects of the aluminum fenestration product, according to the company.
BoxBolt Earns Seismic Approval
Designed to fasten curtainwall to tube steel where access is restricted, BoxBolt from LNA Solutions has received ICC ESR-3217 approval for seismic applications, the company reports. Galvanized for corrosion resistance, BoxBolt is made for use with rectangular, square or round tube sections and offers what the company calls a guaranteed Safe Working Load with proper torque. BoxBolt, which can be installed with hand tools, also helps eliminate the need for access to both sides of the connection and requires only a clearance hole to be drilled to suit its outside diameter. The holes can be drilled off-site for new projects or onsite for retrofit.

Heavy Lifting
The SL1008 is the largest glass lifter in the SmartLift fleet. Capable of lifting up to 2,200 pounds, the SL1008 weighs 2,900 pounds and comes standard with the company’s new digital load sensor, hand-held remote control and dual vacuum systems. The lifter can fit through a double door and has an indoor/outdoor design. The SL1008 is ideal for use on
large unitized panel jobs, according to the company.

Precise Edges
Precision Edge technology is the latest development from Pulp Studio. According to the company, this proprietary process is designed to deliver high quality, zero-tolerance finish with precise alignment for both tempered and annealed laminated glass handrails.
The company offers a warranty on its edge work for post-tempering fabrication.
WINDOWS
Historic Preservation
The SCW3000 Series by St. Cloud Window provides modern performance while preserving historic integrity for landmark properties. The 3-inch frame offers a narrow sightline profile for large window openings with muntin shapes, mullions and hardware options to complete the replication. It’s available for awning, hopper, casement, and fixed applications, as well as floating vent fenestrations common in historic buildings.
SCW3000 Series has the same performance test data as St. Cloud’s other product lines, which the company reports have sound transmission ratings up to 45 STC/36 OITC and thermal values ranging from 0.23-0.31 U-values and 0.16-0.36 SHGC values.
