ICD Confirms Compatibility of FuseCube with Opaci-Coat 300

ICD High Performance Coatings + Chemistries recently announced that it has conducted internal tests upon hand-applied and FuseCube™ applied Diamon-Fusion® protective glass coating over the top of OPACI-COAT-300® coated glass. ICD used modified versions of ASTM C794 and C1087 – Standard Test Method for Adhesion-in-Peel of Elastomeric Joint Sealants to determine peak force and cohesive failure of the sealant, and Standard Test Method for Determining Compatibility of Liquid-Applied Sealants with Accessories Used in Structural Glazing Systems to determine changes in color or adhesion.

“We continue to receive new requests for first surface glass protection of our OPACI-COAT-300® coated glass products via ICD’s architectural education program. Interest ranges from interior applications like wall-cladding in healthcare facilities and offices, and on all-glass façades where not only vision may require first surface protection, but the spandrel too. All inquiries were related to glass cleanability, therefore it made sense to conduct compatibility testing with Diamon-Fusion® to determine the possibility of a combined solution between both products,” said Casey Anderson, ICD’s marketing manager.
