Daryl Bertollini is retiring from Syracuse Glass Company (SGC) after more than 16 years.
”On behalf of all of our Syracuse Glass team members, I sincerely thank Daryl Bertollini for his 16 years of service. We are fortunate that Daryl chose to join our organization after his decades of experience as a glazier and owner/operator of B & D Glass. Daryl has been an important contributor to the Syracuse Glass success story. He always managed his responsibilities professionally, and served as a trusted advisor to many of his customers. We will miss Daryl and wish him all good things in his well-deserved retirement,” said SGC chairman, John Dwyer.
“It has been a true pleasure having the opportunity to work with a seasoned professional like Daryl since I joined SGC a year ago. Daryl’s calling card has always been to do what is right, look out for the interests of the client, and to always make certain that the service that he and our organization afforded the market was unmatched… We have been so fortunate to have Daryl as a team member, mentor, and friend. I know that we will lean on Daryl from time to time, and that he will stay engaged with our team as it is hard to ever truly walk away from a profession that you love,” said SGC president and CEO Joe Gudenburr.
Succeeding Bertollini is Tom Resch. Resch started with SGC out of high school and worked through the shop floor over a 12-year stay. He then spent more than four years with BR Johnson as an operations and general manager before returning to SGC in 2020 to assume the role of process improvement manager within the operations group.
“After reviewing a host of candidates with our team it was clear to all that Tom was the right person to succeed Daryl. His operational and field experience afford him the ability to bring value to our clients as a true technical sales manager. Tom has spent the last six months transitioning both his operational duties, and the sales management role with Daryl. It has been a real pleasure to watch these two professionals work together, and properly transition this important customer-facing role. We are very excited for Tom as he takes on his new position, and are very confident that he will do an exceptional job in supporting our valued client partners within his assigned territory,” said Gudenburr.
