Glasswerks to Announce Price Increase Due to Increasing Material Costs

The Glasswerks Companies located in South Gate, Calif., has issued a statement announcing a price increase on all orders received on or after October 11. This will apply to all Glasswerks locations, Northwestern Industries-Arizona and Avalon Glass & Mirror.

“Despite continual cost containment efforts, the rising cost of non-glass raw materials, replacement parts, and labor continue to increase. Lastly, glass costs are escalating due to a price increase just announced by our major glass suppliers,” reads the statement.

Due to these added costs, the price increases will be up to 8% on flat glass products and up to 10% on mirror products.

The release also explained, “Energy surcharged is variable factor which is adjusted quarterly. The rate in force will be applied at the time of the order.”
