Kuraray announced it will increase the prices of interlayer films and Mowital® PVB resin globally for shipments on or after December 1, 2021.
The price increase is due to the cost increases in raw materials, packaging materials, transportation, logistics and energy, according to a press release. The increases for interlayer films will be by 15% or more; and the increases for Mowital PVB Resin will be $600/ton or more for the following regions: Asia Pacific, North and South America, Middle East and Africa.
This news comes just six months after the company announced a previous price increase of $0.30/sqm (0.76mm / 30mil equivalent) or more on interlayer products.
