Registration and Ballots Open for NFRC Spring Committee Hybrid Meeting

The National Fenestration Rating Council (NFRC) will host an in-person meeting for the first time in two years, though the organization will continue to offer a virtual option. March 21-23, 2022, NFRC members, participants, and other interested parties are invited to either attend the Spring Committee Meeting in Philadelphia or join online.

“It has been too long since most of us have felt comfortable gathering in groups. As NFRC investigated meeting in person again, it seemed like kismet to welcome everyone back in the city named for brotherly love,” said Deb Callahan, NFRC CEO. “Not everyone is comfortable traveling or risking exposure yet, however, and we want to make sure all who are interested in participating in NFRC have an opportunity to do so. This will be NFRC’s first hybrid meeting, and we look forward to delivering for both in-person and virtual attendees.”

The Spring Committee Meeting will include:

  • Green Building Tour presented by the Sustainability Network – a tour of some local projects by Onion Flats, an architecture firm with a passion for cost-effective, climate-resilient, healthy buildings and communities;
  • Networking –a chance to catch up with colleagues and meet new meeting attendees during a welcome happy hour, member reception, networking lunch, and breaks throughout the meeting;
  • Committee Block Meetings – in addition to technical committee block meetings, there will be a session dedicated to relevant technical topics where attendees can learn and contribute to small groups discussions; and
  • Women in Fenestration Network Breakfast – NFRC’s CEO, Deb Callahan, and other attendees will gather for a breakfast to meet women leaders in the industry and talk about opportunities, challenges, and ways that women can support one another in the industry.

Members in good standing who attend virtually will still be able to participate and vote on ballots that will shape the fenestration industry moving forward. Online attendance will count for committee quorum and roster.

Ballots presented at the Spring Committee Meeting will be open for review and comment from Feb. 4 – 24, 2022. The nine ballots may be accessed on the NFRC Community Ballots page. Registration to attend and the ability to review additional information, including the draft schedule, also are available on the NFRC website.
