MY Shower Door / D3 Glass has announced it has been named a semi-finalist in the 2022 Sterling Manufacturing Business Excellence (SMBE) Awards. The award, the company says, serves to recognize high performing Florida manufacturers, offer company learning and development opportunities, and gain greater exposure for the Florida manufacturing sector. MY Shower Door / D3 Glass says it is the only Southwest Florida company represented in the group.
“We are honored to be named among Florida’s high-performance manufacturers,” said Bill Daubmann, president and founder of the Fort Myers-based company. “Having been in the business for more than 30 years, manufacturing and installing over 100,000 frameless shower doors, very few companies in the U.S. have completed as many jobs and have such high ratings. We are proud to be recognized as high-performing manufacturers that help to elevate Florida’s manufacturing community.”
MY Shower Door / D3 glass started in 2003 as a small showroom and assembly operation in Naples, Fla., later delving into manufacturing by founding D3 Glass in 2013. D3 Glass continues its growth in glass fabrication and tempering, manufacturing its own glass and expanding the company brand over the past several years. The company now makes and installs frameless shower doors for nine Florida MY Shower Door locations as well as other glass shops in Florida. Other products include bulletproof glass, decorative glass, wine closets, glass staircases, office partitions and other glass products.
All manufacturers with production facilities in Florida are eligible to participate in the SMBE Awards. FloridaMakes, in partnership with The Sterling Council, is leading the Florida Sterling Manufacturing Business Excellence Award process.
Finalists will be announced the week of April 25, and be recognized, in-person, at the Manufacturing Excellence Reception on June 3, at the Gaylord Palms Resort & Convention Center in Orlando.
