MY Shower Door/D3 Glass Makes it to Next Round Among Florida’s Top Manufacturing Performers

Following its late April announcement of reaching semi-finalist status in the 2022 Sterling Manufacturing Business Excellence (SMBE) Awards, MY Shower Door/D3 Glass is now a finalist. As part of a statewide select group of professionals, the award recognizes high performing Florida manufacturers, offers company learning and development opportunities, and greater exposure for the Florida manufacturing sector. According to MY Shower Door / D3 Glass, it is the only Florida glass company represented in this group.

“We are honored to be named among Florida’s high-performance manufacturers,” said Bill Daubmann, president and founder of the Fort Myers-based company. “Having been in the business for more than 30 years, manufacturing and installing over 100,000 frameless shower doors, very few companies in the U.S. have completed as many jobs and have such high Google ratings. We are proud to be recognized as high-performing manufacturers that help to elevate Florida’s manufacturing community.”

The company started in 2003 as a small showroom and assembly operation in Naples, Fla., later delving into manufacturing by founding D3 Glass in 2013. The company now makes and installs frameless shower doors from nine Florida locations, and works in bullet-resistant glass, decorative glass, glass staircases, office partitions and other glass products.

All manufacturers with production facilities in Florida are eligible to participate in the SMBE Awards. More than 160 nominations were received. Finalists will be recognized, in person, at the Manufacturing Excellence Reception on June 3, at the Gaylord Palms Resort & Convention Center in Orlando.
