GED’s William “Bill” Briese Passes Away

GED Integrated Solutions has announced the passing of William “Bill” Briese, former GED Research and Development Engineering Manager. He was 55.

A 25-year GED veteran, Briese was diagnosed with cancer 10 months ago. The GED announcement of Briese’s death says “He was a successful innovator with many patents and was always looking to improve our customers’ products and systems. Bill was known in the industry for his contributions with IGMA and most recently serving on the FGIA board of directors. Bill will be missed by the GED family, not only for his contributions to the business but most of all for his friendship.”

An online obituary describes him as an active fisherman, restorer of pinball machines, and someone who “loved goofing around and had a secondary lifelong career in (mostly) Harmless Fun.”

A visitation, to which friends and colleagues are invited, will be held today, Tuesday, June 14, 2022 from 4 to 8 p.m., at Jardine Funeral Home, located at 15822 Pearl Road, Strongsville, Ohio. A funeral mass is scheduled for Wednesday, June 15, 2022, at St. Colette Catholic Church at 11 a.m.. (330 West 130th Street, Brunswick, Ohio). A private interment will be held at All Saints Cemetery, Waterford, Mich.
