Tubelite Announces Promotions, Personnel Changes

Tubelite Inc. has promoted Jim Hughes to business development manager for strategic accounts in the retail, healthcare, hospitality and corporate office markets. He has more than 30 years of industry experience. He began his career at Harmon Inc. as a senior sales associate, held operations roles at Trainor Glass Company and Fairfax Glass Company, and served as an account manager at Schüco USA. Hughes started with Tubelite in 2020 working as a client development manager for Maryland, northern Virginia and Washington, D.C.

Hughes will take over for Kent Baumann, who will continue to assist Tubelite’s clients in northern Texas and Oklahoma as a client development manager and the owner of Baumann Architectural Products. Following six years of successfully establishing and growing Tubelite’s strategic accounts, Baumann’s planned transition as the company’s client development manager in northern Texas and Oklahoma caps a career that spans three decades. Prior to joining Tubelite, Baumann worked for 27 years with Oldcastle BuildingEnvelope and the Vistawall Group, where he held numerous sales and management roles. Baumann studied architecture at the University of Texas–Arlington and is a LEED® Accredited Professional through the U.S. Green Building Council.

After more than 40 years in the glass, glazing and aluminum framing industry John Wiemer has transitioned his Oklahoma responsibilities to Baumann in preparation for his approaching retirement. He will be dedicated exclusively to Arkansas as a Tubelite client development manager and owner of Glazing Systems Specialties. Wiemer is looking forward to reduced travel and to focusing on clients closer to his home in Arkansas as the owner of Glazing Systems Specialties. He has worked with Tubelite’s clients in Oklahoma and Arkansas since 2013. Before to joining Tubelite as a client development manager, Wiemer worked as a manager with Valley Building Specialties in Hot Springs, Ark., where he supervised estimating and project management teams. Prior to this, he was an architectural sales representative with Kawneer for the first three decades of his career.
