Petersen Opens New Facility in Washington State

Petersen Aluminum Corp. (PAC) opened a new 57,000-square-foot manufacturing facility in Bonney Lake, Wash., a suburb of Seattle. It is expected to be fully operational in early 2023. The new location will allow Petersen to serve its customers more efficiently, the company said.

Petersen Aluminum Corp. (PAC) opened a new 57,000-square-foot manufacturing facility in Bonney Lake, Wash., a suburb of Seattle.

Once the facility is completed, Petersen, which manufactures PAC-CLAD architectural metal cladding systems in multiple gauges of steel and aluminum, will be able to provide customers in the Northwestern U.S. and Western Canada with these products, including standing seam roof panels, wall panel systems, plus sheet and coil.

The Washington location is the seventh for Petersen.

“Petersen’s expansion into the Northwest U.S. and Western Canada follows the success of our PAC-CLAD facility that opened in Phoenix in 2018, which has served the Northwest region and created a foundation of business from architects, specifiers and installing contractors,” said Mike Weis, vice president, sales and marketing for Petersen.

Weis added that the expansion will help Peterson lower freight charges compared to shipping from the Phoenix facility, which was previously the nearest facility to the Northwest.

“This facility will allow Petersen to serve the architectural metal cladding market more effectively in the Northwest U.S. and Western Canada,” Weis said.  “We’re excited about this expansion, and we’re ready to satisfy the demand for the trusted PAC-CLAD architectural metal cladding products we’ve been making since 1965.”
