ASSA ABLOY Acquires French Security Software Firm Alcea

ASSA ABLOY Global Solutions, a global supplier of intelligent access solutions, has agreed to acquire Alcea, a French manufacturer of security solution software packages.

The move will further reinforce ASSA ABLOY’s offerings within critical infrastructure and provide complementary growth opportunities, says ASSA ABLOY.

“Alcea offers high-quality and innovative digital solutions under a strong and well-known brand, and the acquisition will further advance our position as a full solutions provider,” says Stephanie Ordan, executive vice president and head of the global technologies business unit at Global Solutions. “I welcome Alcea’s experienced team, and I am convinced that we together will continue our successful journey.”

Alcea was established in 1995 and has around 120 employees. According to Alcea, the company designs and develops its own supervision software that can accurately meet the evolving needs of each site and client.

The move is undergoing regulatory approval and closing conditions. The acquisition is scheduled to become official during the third quarter of 2022.
