John Cookson Joins Erie Architectural Products as National Sales Manager

YKK AP America Inc., a manufacturer of commercial facade systems, residential doors and windows, announced that John Cookson has joined its subsidiary, Erie Architectural Products, as its national sales manager.

Cookson has more than 18 years of experience in the glass and glazing industry. According to YKK AP, Cookson will work closely with glazing contractors and architects to provide a complete end-to-end service experience, from conceptual design to construction completion.

“John’s extensive industry knowledge of the construction industry, high-performance facades and engineering combined with his creative and collaborative approach to building successful teams makes him a natural fit to lead our national sales team,” says Tim Thomas, president of Erie Architectural. “As a company, we are continually focused on creating sustainable, long-term value for customers. We are confident that John’s leadership experience will contribute significantly to this approach.”

Cookson arrives from Schüco Southeast Asia, a facades company. He was responsible for the company’s Southeast Asia technical and engineering operations. Cookson has also spent time working at Kawneer, Sapa Building Systems and Saint-Gobain. Throughout his career, Cookson has built, developed and led teams with a focus on creating a culture of excellence, collaboration and sales success.
