MITER Foundation Raises $2.3 Million at Annual Golf Outings

The MITER Foundation, the charitable arm of MITER Brands, MI Windows and Doors and Milgard Windows and Doors, raised $2.3 million at its annual golf outings in Pennsylvania and Arizona, besting last year’s total of $2.2 million.

The golf events are the primary fundraising activity for the four primary causes supported by the MITER Foundation: cancer support, veterans’ affairs, children’s wellbeing and local outreach.

“Our golf events keep getting bigger every year,” says MITER Foundation specialist Gwen Mallon. “We’re grateful that we’re able to come together with our team, our customers, our suppliers and our business partners to raise money for so many important causes.”

The events in Prescott, Ariz., on Sept. 26-27 and Hershey, Pa., on Oct. 4-5, were two-day experiences that included catered meals, inspiring speakers discussing the foundation’s work, a charity auction and the golf tournament, followed by awards.

“This is always a wonderful occasion,” says Mallon. “Every year, I’m awestruck at the generosity and support of everyone who attends. I can’t wait to see what we accomplish at our 25th golf outing in 2023.”

Speakers at this year’s events included: Debbie Stantus and Perrine Theys from Phoenix Children’s Hospital; Steele Ford and Kevin O’Brien from St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital; Kelland Garland from the Woody Williams Foundation; and April Bubb, whose son conquered childhood cancer thanks to support from the Four Diamonds Fund.
