Şişecam Celebrates 87 Years in the Glass Industry

Şişecam celebrates its 87^th birthday in 2022. Founded in 1935, the Turkish manufacturer of glassware and producer of glass packaging and flat glass began producing handmade glassware from soda glass at its first plant in Beykoz.

Since then, the company has expanded into 14 countries on four continents and operates a sales network in more than 150 countries worldwide.

“We have been contributing to the development of the glass and chemicals industries for 87 years,” says Dr. Ahmet Kırman, chairman and executive board member. “As a global company guided by collective wisdom, we are confidently advancing toward our goal of ranking as one of the world’s top three players in our main fields of activity.”

Kırman adds that Şişecam strives to follow in the footsteps of its founder, Mustafa Kemal Atatürk.
