Poland Office Park Features Low-E and Energy-Efficient Glass

The newly constructed Global Office Park in Katowice, Poland, features a unique design centered around distinct rounded corners and diversified glass lites resembling shiny scales. Press Glass fabricated more than 25,000 square meters of glass units for the project, including solar control and low-E glass.

Press Glass states that the two main towers of the office park are distinguished by a “technically sophisticated segment-based façade.” The complex has glass mullion-transom facades, a façade made of 3D panels, invisible transitions from the infill façade to the curtain façade and even characteristic slants in the glass façade.

Press Glass fabricated SunGuard SN 51 HT solar glass, which is characterized by high selectivity and a low coefficient of total solar energy transmittance, the company says. It also provided Planitherm XN II low-E and energy-efficient glass.

The two towers are 25 stories tall, and the residential building will include 670 apartments. In total, the commercial area of the facility is just over 63,507 square feet.

The Global Office Park is scheduled to open in 2023.
