The NSG Group announced that Munehiro Hosonuma will replace current president and CEO Shigeki Mori. The transition will be effective April 1, 2023.
Officials from NSG state that “since the company’s operating profit has been improving with the implementation of initiatives under the medium-term management plan, ‘Revival Plan24 (RP24),’ and financial risks have been reducing with the impairment of the goodwill related to the automotive business in Europe arising on the acquisition of Pilkington, management is handed over to the next generation for renewal.”
Mori will also retire from the board of directors and as representative executive officer of the company. He will be appointed executive officer and chairperson of the company at the Ordinary General Meeting of Shareholders in June 2023.
