Lockheed Architectural Solutions Inc. is the first glazing contractor in Rhode Island and 60th overall to earn North American Contractor Certification (NACC).
Officials from Lockheed say they worked with NACC administrators for more than five months to become certified. The company underwent a series of assessments and implemented written documents, including a quality management system, a program requirement of all certified contractors.

“NACC sets certified glazing contractors apart as best-in-class,” says Lockheed president Michael S. Kosiver. “We have always considered ourselves best-in-class, but the certification process opened our eyes to how we could improve to be even better, smarter and stronger. At the end of the day, our clients, customers and end-users will experience the benefits.”
NACC is an ANSI-accredited third-party certification that recognizes architectural glass and metal subcontractors who adhere to best practices for glazing quality, construction safety and business operations.
Glazing contractors can earn the NACC credential in one or more of eight categories based on the company’s operations. Lockheed earned NACC in five categories: interior and entry systems, building envelope low-rise, building envelope high-rise, interior glazing and horizontal glazing. Additional categories include active glass, guardrails and service work.
Lockheed has 120 employees who work with institutional and commercial property owners throughout Rhode Island and the Northeast.
