YKK AP America CEO and president Oliver Stepe announced that the company is an official sponsor of driver Akinori Ogata for select races at Atlanta Motor Speedway and Hickory Motor Speedway.

“We’re incredibly excited to team up with Akinori Ogata for the 2023 racing season,” says Stepe. “YKK AP was the first-ever Japanese facades manufacturer to come to the United States, and our business has continued to thrive through hard work and perseverance. We feel strongly that Mr. Ogata possesses these same shared values as he continues on his journey to becoming the first Japanese race car driver to compete in the Daytona 500. We look forward to coming along for the ride.”

Ogata has made multiple starts across all NASCAR regional and national touring series. This includes 13 starts in the NASCAR CRAFTSMAN Truck Series in the last eight seasons, along with five NASCAR XFINITY Series starts.

“As we kick off the 2023 racing season, I’m honored to add a brand like YKK AP America to my lineup,” says Ogata. “Our partnership will allow me the opportunity to grow my brand, reaching a wider audience and helping to fulfill my dream of winning at NASCAR.”
