Sentech Architectural Systems and Faour Glass Technologies’ Slimpact product line are working together to expand the range of tested impact-resistant structural glass systems. The partnership is an agreement to offer and potentially co-develop each other’s products and systems across the U.S., states Diarmuid Kelleher, Sentech’s director of engineering.
He adds that the partnership will allow for a combined offering of impact-resistant, fin-supported glass walls up to 28 feet tall, frameless glass walls up to 20 feet in height and jumbo impact-resistant glass door systems.
The partnership also ensures that architects can design monumental structural glass facades on projects in windborne debris regions without requiring project-specific testing, according to the companies.
