Saint-Gobain has appointed Christian Bako as vice president of marketing and development. He replaces Cordula Gudduschat, who becomes the general manager of Isover and Rigips, Germany. Bako will report to Anne Hardy, chief innovation officer.

Officials say Bako will play a key role in accelerating growth, fostering innovation and continuing to evolve the Group’s solutions mindset and actions.

Bako began his career at Roto Frank, where he held sales and general management roles in Germany, Spain and France. He joined Saint-Gobain in 2017 as the chief digital officer of the glass business in Germany, where he subsequently became general manager of Glassolutions.

In 2020, he was appointed general manager of a High-Performance Solutions business for Germany and Austria before becoming the company’s general manager for Central Europe.
