The Aluminum Extruders Council (AEC), through their Business Excellence program, provides educational events that focus on improving operations and helping members become more efficient and competitive.

This fall, AEC will hold its AEC Extrusion Excellence Course, which provides education and training designed to help aluminum extruders benchmark and excel. The event is open only to AEC members.

The AEC Extrusion Excellence Course, scheduled for October 16 at the Hilton Rosemont/Chicago O’Hare in Rosemont, Ill., is an intensive one-day program that provides instruction on the basics of the extrusion process from a fundamental engineering approach.  The course, taught by Dr. Wojciech Misiolek, director of the Institute for Metal Forming (IMF) at Lehigh University, is intended for those involved in the production of aluminum profiles that may not have had any formal training in the engineering and metallurgical aspects of the extrusion process. The curriculum is appropriate for those new to the industry as well as experienced production personnel.
