For the third year in a row, AGNORA has been once again recognized as one of Canada’s Top Small and Medium Employers (SMEs), an editorial competition that recognizes enterprises that offer the nation’s best workplaces and forward-thinking programs. AGNORA’s investment in employee health and wellness is one of the reasons the company has received this award.

“Our environment is designed to make employees love coming to work and to inspire them to produce the highest possible quality,” says AGNORA president Richard Wilson.

Employees can take advantage of the on-site personal trainer, fitness classes, massage therapist and doctor. They organize regular Wallyball and Euchre tournaments played at lunch and after work. In addition to these fitness and wellness benefits, the judges recognized AGNORA’s commitment to training and skills development, with both an in-house skills development program and generous tuition subsidies for job-related courses.

Founders Richard and Laura Wilson, have created a team-based family atmosphere at AGNORA. The glass wall that separates the office area from the production floor symbolizes the open relationship between the two groups. Employers were evaluated by the editors at Canada’s Top 100 Employers using the following criteria: physical workplace; work atmosphere and social; health, financial and family benefits; vacation and time off; employee communications; performance management; training and skills development; and community involvement.
