Aldora Aluminum and Glass Products, a manufacturer of custom fabricated aluminum and glass products, announced expansion plans into the Charlotte, N.C., area market with a new distribution facility. The new location will be managed by Sean Ryan, who brings 15 years of executive and general branch supervision.

According to the company, the Charlotte branch will be supplied fabricated glass materials and aluminum products out of Aldora of Charleston. It will also have an inventory of stock sheet glass, mirror and glazing supplies. The branch will provide service to the Charlotte area five days per week. Over time, the location will add fabrication capabilities to better serve the market.

“This is a great opportunity for Aldora to expand its geographical reach and serve a customer base that needs daily deliveries,” says Trent Hartley, branch manager for Aldora of Charleston.  “We are excited to have an industry veteran in Sean Ryan on our team and look forward to supplying the Charlotte market.”

With the recent expansion by the company, it also added industry veteran Dana Duval, who will serve as branch manager for Aldora’s new Florida location. Duval has an extensive background that includes branch and regional management in the glass industry, and Aldora believes his experience handling laminated, insulating and low-E glass will lend itself well to the company’s new facility, which will house an autoclave and tempering oven.

“We are excited that Dana has joined the team,” says Ricky Silverstein, president of Aldora.  “We could not have asked for a better person to open the new facility and implement our new product lines.”

Hartley adds of Ryan, “Sean is capable of managing every aspect of a glass distribution facility, from making sales, to quoting, to production supervision, to accounting. He is a perfect fit for our expansion plans in Charlotte.”
