Mason, Ohio-based Basco Manufacturing Company, a manufacturer of glass shower doors and enclosures, announced that Steve Lotz has been promoted to the position of president, approved unanimously by Basco’s board of directors. Lotz will continue to serve on the company’s executive committee and help develop and drive growth initiatives.

Lotz has been a member of Basco for 27 years. First, he oversaw the manufacturing facility in 1994, became the executive vice president of operations for 19 years, and was most recently named chief operating officer in 2019.

“Steve’s passion for results, backed by unmatched knowledge, experience and a talented leadership team will drive the continued performance that has made Basco the leading quality manufacturer in the industry today,” says chairperson and CEO George Rohde. “I am confident in Steve’s leadership as we strive to double our growth over the next several years.”

In his new role, Lotz will establish the company’s annual and long-term strategic goals. He has a bachelor’s degree and master’s degree in metallurgical engineering from the University of Cincinnati and nine years of experience in engineering at General Electric.
