The Red Hawk Casino in Placerville, Calif., went all-in with glass.

Poker Room GlassThe casino recently called on curved glass fabricator Glasshape to supply an enclosure for its high dollar poker room.

Glasshape took on the challenge, reaching out to West Sacramento, Calif.-based West Coast Glazing to bid the completed custom glazing project directly to Red Hawk.

Red Hawk’s in-house design team drew up an enclosure consisting of 14 13-inch-tall, 1/2-inch-thick clear tempered glass lites—six curved and eight flat.

According to Laura Williams, marketing executive at Glasshape, delivery took a bit longer than anticipated, “but the glass that arrived was well worth the wait.”

Southern Stretch Forming supplied a a custom bent U channel, which Williams says made installing the curved glass a simple step.

“Large entry doors gave easy access into the casino floor making this install one of West Coast Glazing’s easiest installed projects despite the use of non-rectilinear 400 pound glass panels,” says Williams.
