Cardinal Shower Enclosures, based in Louisville, Ky., has recently implemented the FeneVision LineScanner at its tempering facility with the overall goal of improving its manufacturing processes by comprehensively tracking errors and imperfections to produce a higher quality product.

Company growth has ushered in an increase in production, creating the need for more efficient processes and better quality control, leading Cardinal to the FeneVision LineScanner powered by Austrian engineering firm Softsolution. According to Loren Powell, Cardinal’s data administrator handling the implementation, the FeneVision LineScanner enables Cardinal to quantify imperfections, errors and trends and provide historical data that is key to detecting and correcting potential problems internally. This allows Cardinal to maintain its high standards of quality and customer service. Because of the LineScanner’s speed, its addition to the production process does not affect overall production or lead times, according to the company. This allows Cardinal to improve quality, efficiency and accuracy while simultaneously improving customer trust and increasing overall sales.

Helping to guide Cardinal through the addition is ERP software company FeneTech Inc., based in Aurora, Ohio.
