The Canadian General Standards Board (CGSB) is one step closer to developing a safety glazing national standard. On January 26, 2016, the committee reached consensus on the draft standard (CAN/CGSB 12.1), and approved it for public review. The draft standard was made available for public review today, for a minimum of 60 days.

The review draft is available through the Canadian General Standard Board, with copies available upon request.

In the coming days, various television networks across Canada will air an investigative news story on the dangers of wired glass and how it has been addressed, according to Greg Abel of Safe Glass Solutions. Abel says the first showing is scheduled for Saturday evening.

Stay tuned to™ for more details as they are made available.
