Two More Companies Earn NACC Certification

The number of contract glaziers that have met the requirements of the North American Contractor Certification (NACC) program is now up to 36. Utica Glass Co., based in Utica, N.Y., and Los Angeles-based Giroux Glass are the latest to meet the requirements.

“When we first heard about the NACC certification program, we knew right away that this was something we wanted to be part of. In today’s competitive market it isn’t always possible to have the ‘best price.’ Being able to display the NACC Certified logo beside our own shows new and existing customers that we are constantly striving to improve,” says Gary Puleo II, Utica’s vice president.

Los Angeles-based Giroux Glass Inc. was the 36th glazing contractor to meet the NACC program requirements. According to the announcement, while a dozen other companies are currently undergoing the certification process, at this time, no other certified company is based in Los Angeles, where Giroux Glass is headquartered, or located within the states of Arizona or Nevada, where the company operates additional sites.

The NACC certification process includes a multi-day, on-site evaluation of a company’s business practices, safety and quality management systems, contract administration and glazing processes. Quality management systems workshops are offered by the NACC at no charge to glazing contractors beginning the evaluation process.
