Special guests attending the award event included U.S. Rep. Joseph Crowley, D-N.Y., and New York State Assemblyman David Weprin. The Stars Under 40 Award recognizes outstanding young leaders from the business, non-profit and government sectors under 40 years of age whose efforts are having a positive impact on the economy and quality of life in New York City’s second-most-populous borough.

“I am very honored to receive this recognition,” said Hong. “Working at Crystal, where employees are encouraged to seize opportunities to develop proficiency and managerial skills, has allowed me to grow professionally as rapidly as the company has.  I thank Crystal’s leaders and my fellow co-workers at Crystal Windows who have been so very supportive and inspirational to me.”

The Stars Under 40 Award program is championed by the Queens Courier, a weekly news periodical that serves the 2.2 million residents and tens of thousands of businesses in the New York City borough of Queens.
