David Dalbke, part owner of Maryland Glass & Mirror Co. in Baltimore, passed away Saturday at 62 years old.

According to an obituary in the Baltimore Sun, he died of multiple myeloma at the Hospice of the Chesapeake in Severna Park.

Dalbke and his business partner John McKenna purchased Maryland Glass & Mirror Co. in 1990, since growing it into a large regional fabricator.

A long-time supporter of the Mid-Atlantic Glass Association (MGA), Dalbke served on MGA’s board of directors in several capacities during the 1990s.

“His mark on the industry will be remembered,” Maureen Heavner, executive director of MGA, said in an email to association members. “Our sympathy goes out to his brother, Matthew Dalbke, a current MGA board member, his family and the entire Maryland Glass & Mirror Co.”

He is survived by his brother, Matthew Dalbke; stepmother, Dorothea Dalbke; and a nephew. A memorial service will be held Saturday, February 18, at 10 a.m. in the St. Paul’s School Chapel at 11152 Falls Road, Brooklandville, MD 21022.
