Glaston Sells FC Series Tempering Line to Steinfort Glass in the Netherlands

Glaston Group has closed a deal for a FC Series tempering line with Dutch company Steinfort Glas. The order was received in early February 2020 and is booked in Glaston’s Q1/2020 order book. The line will be delivered during the last quarter of 2020.

The line is equipped with the Chinook heating system, Vortex pro convection technology and Insight Assistant Pro, which automatically adjusts furnace settings based on the measured glass size and loading pattern information. It helps customers handle all product segments efficiently, according to the company.

“Steinfort Glas aims to stand out in its logistic and technical performance towards its customers. For that we need a reliable and state of the art tempering line with the highest level of automation. We believe that our cooperation with Glaston … will provide us with the best solution for that,” says director Jan Anjema.

LaPel Solutions Opens New Location

LaPel Solutions, a manufacturer of coolants and processing fluids for the flat glass industry, among others, has opened a new 65,000-square-foot corporate headquarters and automated manufacturing center in Vancouver, Wash.

The new facility encompasses an automated, computer-controlled manufacturing process with emphasis on compliance to ISO 9001:2015 standards, according to the company.
