Consolidated Glass Holdings installed a bent tempering glass furnace at its Dlubak Specialty Glass plant in Blairsville, Pa., expanding the company’s curved glass offerings.

dlubak“We are very excited about moving into bent tempering,” says Erik Stumpf, vice president of sales, security and specialty glass division. “Customers from all over the world have come to us for bent or curved annealed and laminated glass, and now we have the ability to offer yet another crucial and needed service.”

The new furnace can produce sizes upwards of 98- by- 138 inches and features glass defect measurement tools.

“We will continue to add technology and products throughout all of our divisions to service our customer base at the highest level,” says Stumpf. “This addition to Dlubak Specialty Glass continues their growth in an area of great expertise and we have a lot more to come.”
