The Facade Tectonics Institute issued a call for papers for its 2016 Annual Conference and inaugural World Congress, to be held October 10-11 in Los Angeles.

The two-day summit will feature speaking and poster presentations, panel discussions, workshops and exhibitors. A minimum of five tracks are planned with 25 sessions and 75 speaker presentations.

The institute is soliciting abstracts that address aspects of the building skin ranging from history to theory and practice, with particular interest in sustainable design and performance. Abstracts, papers and presentations will be subject to rigorous peer review as a condition of acceptance to the conference proceedings. Themed sessions will be organized in response to the papers received. Select authors will be invited to present in one of these sessions.

Call for papers can be review here. Those interested are encouraged to submit an abstract by March 7. Accepted authors will be notified by April 18.
