Five workers were killed and 10 others injured in an explosion inside the South Glass Factory in Shadnagar, India, on Friday evening. According to the Shadnagar assistant commissioner of police, the workers died when the explosion sent glass shards flying throughout the building. A Shadnagar Station House official said the explosion was reportedly caused by a spike in pressure in the air compressor in the factory. The compressor blew and shattered the glass lites in the factory.
