Mike Cochran

Mike Cochran, longtime member of the Washington Glass Association (WGA) and former owner of BFC Architectural Metals Inc. in SeaTac, Wash., passed away on January 9, 2020. He was 70 years old.

Cochran joined the WGA in February of 1988 shortly after he started his own business, BFC Architectural Metals Inc. in 1987. According to his obituary, he retired from BFC in 2018.

“I especially remember Mike Cochran enjoying a WGA event on an Argosy Harbor Cruise boating around Elliott Bay on one of the Goodtimes Boats. He seemed at home on that boat … He was a friend to many in the glass industry. He will be missed,” said Maryanne Howell, WGA executive director, in an email announcing Cochran’s passing.

He is survived by his wife, Pamela; daughter, Wendy O’Connell (Steve); grandchildren, Grady Patrick, Calvin Michael and Oliva Rose; brother, Hans Forster; and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.

A funeral mass was held on January 18 in Seattle.
