North Wilkesboro, N.C.-based Gardner Glass Products Inc. named Jim Ventre vice president of flat glass sales. In his new position, Ventre will be focused on the growth and management of distribution and installer sales accounts.

“Jim’s relationships in the industry, coupled with his intensity and energy, make him a perfect fit to drive sales in these two important segments,” says Randy Brooks, president of Gardner. “The new focus of our sales management team in this way will allow us to grow sales goals by corporate division, and still keep our capacities balanced.”

Ventre has been with Gardner as national accounts manager since 2011 and has been in the glass industry for more than 30 years.

Meanwhile, John Myers, senior vice president of Dreamwalls Sales Group, will focus on commercial glazing, OEM and specialty distributor accounts.

Gardner also announced Chris Reavis has been promoted to vice president of logistics and sales support. He previously served as director of business development for the South Atlantic region.

Gardner also has appointed Mike Edwards to director of glass and coatings technology. He will be responsible for the North Carolina and Texas silvering operations, as well as special projects and new coating technologies.

Additionally, Randall Parsons has been named director of human resources. He comes to Gardner from Lowe’s Companies and will be directly responsible for the company’s human resource needs, as well as safety management for all Gardner locations in North Carolina, Texas and Indiana.
