After a full day of education and networking, consider a visit to the beautiful nearby attractions.

geneHuntington, N.Y., is the birthplace of one of America’s well-known poets, Walt Whitman. The area boasts Whitman’s childhood home, which has been newly restored. The farmhouse is a New York State Historic Site and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The home was built in 1819 by Whitman’s father.

Or, take a step back in time to the Old Bethpage Village Restoration. It is a living history museum that offers visitors a glimpse of life as it was on Long Island during the 19th century. It features 36 houses, barns and buildings dating from 1765 through 1865.
