GIMAV, the Italian Association of Glass-Processing Machinery and Accessory Suppliers, is taking part in the Italian Trade Industry’s Italian Technology Awards.

According to a release from the association, the program’s goal is to “celebrate the technological excellence of the Italian production system, as well as its leading role in training and attracting the finest talents from around the world.”

U.S. universities participated in the competition, with students receiving awards in various sectors, including machine tools, packaging technologies and glass processing machinery.

The prize is a one-week stay/study period in Italy and will include various training sessions at Carlo Cattaneo University in Varese, as well as visits to companies involved in the program.
