Nancy Mammaro knows glass machinery, especially tempering equipment. She serves as the CEO of Mappi and has been in the glass industry for more than 25 years. She’s also been actively involved and dedicated to the Italian glass processing industry through GIMAV, the Italian Association of Suppliers of Machinery, Plants, Accessories and Technologies for Glass Processing. Most recently, she was elected to serve as GIMAV’s president for the 2026-2030 term.
“I have come to know GIMAV not only as an institutional organization, but above all as a place where companies meet, share ideas, discuss common challenges and build a stronger presence for Italian glass technology in international markets,” Mammaro told USGlass magazine. “I believe its role is becoming even more important, because the needs of companies are changing quickly, and the association must be able to listen, respond and act in a concrete way.”
She spoke with USGlass magazine to share some insight into what she’s hoping to accomplish over her four-year term as president, as well as for the growth of the international glass machinery industry.
