Los Angeles-based Giroux Glass is celebrating its 70th anniversary this year.

The company, which started as a small family-owned business in downtown Los Angeles, has offices in four locations and is licensed to operate in four states. It is the 24th-largest contract glazier in the U.S., according to the most recent USGlass magazine rankings.

“The growth of our company parallels the transformation of downtown Los Angeles in the past few decades,” says Anne-Merelie Murrell, Giroux owner and board chairperson. “We share equal excitement over that of our surrounding area as we do our own growth. It’s been a continued source of pride to be a part of all that’s happening in this city, as well as to our expansion to other areas.”

Giroux provides glazing on projects that include major landmarks—such as the Grand Canyon Skywalk—and architecturally significant residences, as well as high-end hotels, retail storefronts, schools, hospitals and casinos.

As an Employee Stock Ownership Plan company, Murrell is transitioning her ownership to Giroux Glass employees, with plans to be fully employee-owned by 2022.

“We continually strive to nurture our relationships with our employees, clients, and vendors to make and keep them rock solid,” says Nataline Lomedico, chief executive officer and president. “They know they can rely on us to be here tomorrow.”
