Glass Expo Northeast™ (GENE) ’19 is a two-day event dedicated to the needs of the architectural glass and metal industry. GENE will take place at the Long Island Marriott in Uniondale, N.Y., March 27 – 28.

On Wednesday, March 27 from 12:30 – 1:30 p.m.,
Dustin Anderson will be presenting key strategies for
“Finding Quality Workers in the Glass Industry.”

The skills gap has been a topic on the table for a few years now, but there are quality workers available. In this seminar, Anderson will walk attendees through some tips and share insights on places to look, ways to entice and how to bring those top-notch individuals to your jobsites.

Anderson is a second-generation glazier, the owner of Anderson Glass in Waco, Texas, and spokesperson for Glass.com®, an industry-wide information and referral portal. Anderson has been in the glass industry since he could walk and in 2014 he bought Anderson Glass from his father. He is probably best known for providing glass and glazing services to Chip and Joanna Gaines on the HGTV show Fixer Upper.

Anderson also tapped into his creative side by partnering to establish a design company, D1 Design Group, which caters to division one sports programs by designing and creating spaces that help programs have top-notch facilities while also assisting in recruitment.
