The 25th anniversary edition of glasstec will take place in a revamped format October 23-26, 2018, in Dusseldorf, Germany. In addition to a new look, the conference concept will deliver even more added value for all visitor target groups.

Featuring a number of high-caliber presentations, the glasstec conference in Hall 10 will offer in-depth background knowledge about the exhibits in the special “glass technology live” exhibition,  further closing the gap between theory and practice.

Kicking off the event on the morning before the show will be the “function meets glass” technology conference. On Tuesday, the partners HVG-DGG and BV Glas will present the topics of glass production and markets. The thematic focus on Wednesday will be on new and future technologies, presented by the German Engineering Federation (VDMA). The increased dovetailing of theory and practice will again become clear on Thursday, in an architecture-focused morning program designed jointly by the North Rhine-Westphalian Chamber of Architects and the technical-scientific conference “engineered transparency.”

Stands in the exhibition halls will be allocated at the end of the official registration period on December 2, 2017. Registration is still possible here.

In addition, federal guild master Martin Gutmann, representing the glazing trade, will serve as the president of the 25th glasstec. He succeeds Frank Heinricht, president of BV Glas and chairman of the management board of SCHOTT AG. The presidency alternates in two-year intervals between the Federal Association of the German Glazing Trade (BIV) and the Federal Association of the German Glass Industry (BV Glas). The two organizations are conceptual sponsors of glasstec, together with the German Engineering Federation (VDMA).
