Greg Saroka

Greg Saroka, co-founder of Goldray Glass, died on March 4, 2020 at 61 years old. He began his long career in the glass industry when he co-created the company in 1985.

Saroka is survived by his sons, Michael and Adam Saroka; his daughter, Laura Little; four grandchildren, Parker, Charlotte, Casey and Jada; his partner, Cathie Saroka; and his siblings, Marie Dyer and Mark Saroka.

“He had a gift for seeing what others couldn’t and a charisma to take many along on a journey that knew no boundaries. Together with his family, he built a business that serves customers across North America,” reads a company statement. “His legacy will be his compassion and kindness to others in need; his tenacity for never giving up on any challenge and for building a reputation around relationships. Greg’s loss will be felt by many. Seven years ago, Greg retired from the company for health reasons, but still retained a special place in everyone’s heart.”

Goldray Glass will continue to serve its clients under the leadership of president Cathie Saroka and chief operating officer Michael Saroka.

“On behalf of everyone at Goldray Glass, we thank you for your support and look forward to continuing to build the type of company that Greg envisioned,” reads a company statement.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be given in Saroka’s honor to the Mustard Seed Ministry in Calgary, Alberta.

Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. on March 15, 2020 at the Calgary Golf & Country Club in Calgary. Condolences and tributes may be forwarded through Pierson’s Funeral Home.
