The organizers of Glass Processing Automation Days (GPAD) 2014 have announced the speakers and agenda for this year’s event, which will be held March 20-21 at the JW Marriott in New Orleans.

Speakers include Ronald Crowl, president and CEO of FeneTech Inc., and Horst Mertes, vice president of sales and marketing for FeneTech, who will open the conference. In addition, Michael Spellman, Manny Borda and Giancarlo Jemma of IGE Glass Technologies Inc. will address the past, present and future of glass fabrication.

Russ Slaybaugh of Diamon Fusion International and Jim Arnold of GlasSource will hold a session titled “What Else Can You Sell That Will Make You 88 Percent Profit?”

Nicola Lattuada of Adelio Lattuada will discuss the state of the art of vertical grinding: structural glass, quality, flexibility and automation.

Nancy Mammaro of Mappi North America will address tempering, heat soak and laminating.

A session titled “Insulating Glass Production and Process Automation Trends” will feature Michael Schmidt of Forel North America, while Alysa Hoffmeister of Dip-Tech North America will lead a session called “Digital Ceramic Printing Evolution and Revolution.”

Clifton Green of TSS Sales & Service/Tenon is scheduled to lead a seminar called “Automated Seaming and Furnace Batching Technology.” Craig Morris of FeneTech will discuss “Fully Integrated Shower Door Designing Software,” and Horst Schraml of Schraml Glastechnik – top drill will lead “Do We Need New Systems for CNC Glass Processing?”

Richard Green of Ashton Industrial will discuss automated seaming technology and Peter Pfannenstill of SoftSolution will address products to check and improve quality.

Hermann Frey of LandGlass will address the evolution of glass tempering as it relates to full convection.

Joseph Sais of IGE Glass Technologies will lead the final session of the conference: “Past, Present and Future about the Treatment of Water in Glass Processing.”

This two-day event is organized by Ohio-based FeneTech Inc.
