Herzog Glass is the first Washington-based glazing contractor and 70th overall to earn the North American Contractor Certification (NACC). Herzog installs interior and exterior glazing projects for commercial, industrial and residential projects. It is also a member of the International Union of Painters and Allied Trades (IUPAT) District Council 5.

To earn the certification, Herzog underwent a series of assessments to document and implement written procedures in a quality management system, a requirement of all certified contractors. Herzog will be reevaluated annually to confirm that its business and glazing practices remain at the standards that the NACC requires.

“It was important to earn NACC because I saw the rigorous process as a way to strengthen our business,” said Herzog president Joe Kaiser. “Better safety, better quality and uniformity through processes and documentation will help solidify our position as a leader in the glazing industry and offer our customers peace of mind, knowing their projects will be executed with precision and expertise.”

Glazing contractors can earn the NACC credential in one or more of eight categories based on the company’s operations: interior and exterior entry systems, interior glazing, building envelope low-rise, high-rise, horizontal glazing, active glass and service work. Herzog earned NACC in all eight categories.
