DJ Widmer, global sales director for ICD High Performance Coatings, has been awarded a spot on the Portland Business Journal’s Top 40 under 40 list. Widmer’s current focus is on bringing ICD’s current silicone coatings, ceramic enamels and resins into new markets and finding new problems for the company to solve with its clean chemistries.

He says he is also family and community oriented.

“I started my first entrepreneurial adventure right out of the University of Portland were I met my amazing wife, Summer. Since then we’ve built a few businesses and supported multiple nonprofits together. All while having and raising two amazing young boys,” says Widmer.

One of the nonprofits he supports is De La Salle North Catholic High School.

“There’s no other school in the Pacific Northwest propelling kids from poor/under-served households to college like we do, all while building a solid work resume along the way through the Corporate Work Study Program,” he says.
