Juha Liettyä has been appointed senior vice president for the company’s machines business area, effective January 1. Liettyä currently heads the machines business area’s heat treatment product line.

Liettyä joined Glaston in 1986 and has been a member of the executive management group since 2007.

Additionally, the company has announced that it will transfer the sale and manufacturing of tools from its machines segment to its services segment, effective January 1. The machines segment is divided into two product lines: heat treatment, which comprises manufacturing and sale of glass tempering, bending and laminating machines and pre-processing, which as of January 1, will comprise manufacturing and sale of glass pre-processing machines. As of January 1 the services segment will include maintenance and service of glass processing machines and sale of spare parts and upgrades as well as sale and manufacturing of tools.
